English 3336 Restoration and Eighteenth Century Drama and Theatre
Prompt # 14
10 October 2012

Reporting, discussing, and deciding

During class this morning

We'll do a round to give everybody a chance to talk about how they revised their report, what problems they had, what's new and what we should look for when we read and comment on the new version. An outline of my report is here.

Working toward a decision

You'll remember that the last prompt said, "As you read, and as you work on your own, be thinking about what we all ought to read as a way of getting started on the plays of the period. We'll make some decisions Wednesday." The second round of the class will give people a chance to voice their thoughts about a first reading.  We'll either make a decision or lay out a plan to find out what we need to know to make one.

Between now and Friday

If there's more we need to know, everyone will take some time to work on that. I'll add a new prompt if necessary.

Either way, everyone will read all the revised reports and post a reply to each with further questions and suggestions (these reports are going to continue growing for a while).
