 Q5 Answers
: It ensures you cover all the material; the understanding evolves as the layers are peeled back; it is a subjective approach that stays close to the facts but without emotions (?); it is flexible; there is no hypothesis beforehand (its inductive); it looks at discourse; it looks at 'things', *and their surroundings; it allows more interpretations; nothing gets missed as you go through more cycles.

Q7 Answers: The most important part of the research is that it is not surprising... the discrimination is putting women in dangerous situations... it makes me frustrated and upset to be a woman in criminology; it's most common that men dominate every field they're in,especially in total institutions; the voices, stories, and experiences of women are all too familiar for it to be dismissed; the police want more diverse forces but are not making good working conditions; the boys club that is in charge has to change; are they outsiders on the inside... I am told that the first police woman in nb was faced with many challenges; i find it poignant that the women adopt the cycle of abuse for their own self-preservation.
