  • 1950   St. Thomas College played an exhabition game against the NHL's New York Rangers, and lost 15-10.

  • 1954-55   S.T.C.'s Bill McMullin was the New Brunswick Intercollegiate Hockey League scoring champion. First season playing on an indoor ice surface (Chatham's Lord Beaverbrook Arena.

  • 1958-59   S.T.C. was N.B. - P.E.I. intercollegiate champions while playing in the North Shore Senior Hockey League.

  • 1960-61   Maritime Intercollegiate Athletic Union Champions.

  • 1961-62   S.T.C defeated Mt. Allison 2-1 to win the N.B. - P.E.I. title

  • 1962-63   Signified the first season S.T.C was a member of an integrated Maritime intercollegiate league playing other university and college teams.

  • 1964-65   Was the first season for S.T.U. varsity hockey team in Fredericton. The junior varsity team won their respective title. The school was known as St. Thomas University.

  • 1966-67   Won the N.B. university championship and as a result earned the honour to represent N.B. at the Canadian Winter Games.

  • 1967-68   S.T.U. was the only team to tarnish St. F.X. perfect season.

  • 1968-69   S.T.U. lost to St. Mary's University 4-2 in the AUAA champtionship game.

  • 1981   Was a season of tragedy. Duane Campbell, the goalie of the hockey team drowned while working. Duane was a Dean's list student, worked for the school paper, and was a member of the Campus Police.

  • 1982-83   On November 12th S.T.U. played the Chinese National Team losing 8-4.

  • 1982-83   Tommie goalie Kirk Firlotte received tryout with NHL's New Jersey Devils.

  • 1985-86   S.T.U. defenceman Phil Huckins was selected to play for the AUAA all star team which went on to play against Team Canada in an exhibition game. Larry Wood won AUAA coach of the year honours.

     

 

  • 1986-87   First season under head coach Al MacAdam. Prior to coming to S.T.U., Al had an illustrious NHL career, enjoying his best years in Minnesota.

  • 1988-89   Lost AUAA final to U. de M.

  • 1991   Was another season of tragedy. Lou Chabot, a defenceman for the team died in his sleep. His memory is honoured annually with the Lou Chabot Memorial Game against U.N.B.

  • 1992-93   Tommie defenceman Vojtech Kucera was name an All-Canadian.

  • 1993-94   Tommie defenceman Garth Joy was named an All-Canadian.

  • 1995-96   S.T.U. was the regular season AUAA champions. Al MacAdam won AUAA coach of the year honours. S.T.U. had an all-time best 21-4-1 record and were ranked fifth nationally.

  • 1996-97   Tommie defenceman, Dan Preston was named to the All-Canadian Rookie Team.

  • 1997-98   Tommie forward, Matt Hogan was named to All-Canadian Team.

  • 1998-99   S.T.U. was the regular season AUAA Champions and ranked nationally.

  • 1998-99   Dave Gilmore was AUAA and CIAU scoring champion, accumulating 62 points.

  • 1999-00   The Tommies were the regular season MacAdam Division Champions. Mike Hanson was Rookie of the Year, Dan Preston was named to the All Canadian team and Jason Sands received Honorable Mention. Six players were named to the AUAA All-Star Team.

  • 2000-01   An outstanding play-off run lands the Tommies with their first title in 40 years and their first-ever trip to Nationals.

  • 2002-03   Mike Eagles hired as head coach. Prior to coming to S.T.U., Mike enjoyed an illustrious NHL career.

  • 2002-03   Tragedy struck on August 4, as an unforeseen accident took the life of Tommie Eric "Jagr" Couturier.
