P.204 in the Hostage has a fairly crazy scene. It is the one where everyone starts arguing with everyone for no particular reason and the fight eventually breaks up with everyone doing a conga line and then someone showing Leslie a newspaper article.

 

This scene is an example of how something that is not particularly funny to read can become funny to see. These antics when describe tend to invoke a sort of raised eyebrow reaction where the reader wonders what the hell is going on. On stage, these hi-jinxes can instead be hilariously rich by appealing to a silliness type of humour and the absurdism that is confusing on page is instead funny. Do people agree with me on this?
