Angels and other Heavenly Beings (entities) and ghost.

I seem to have focused mostly on the Angel theme, although I would consider them to be heavenly beings.

I truly believe in angels and ghosts. Shortly after my Dad past away, one day in late December, when the snow was on the ground, I looked out the window and there stood a deer just as still as it could stand. Everyday after that morning a deer appeared in our backyard for months to follow. There was something about that creature that brought a peace to an otherwise not so peaceful time. I even stirred my family up with my belief that this was a sign from Dad and that the deer could possibly be an angel sent from God to watch over us.

I have a few questions that come to mind: Are angels fact or fictional and in those days of grief was that deer an actual sign of a heavenly being? How do angels differ from other heavenly beings? Do all heavenly beings appear as angels? Do they all appear as glowing white figures with wings? What part do angels play in spiritual warfare? Do they actually sit on our shoulders?

The Bible clearly states that angels are in fact real ( Book of Hebrews), it also states that resurrected people will be like angels in heaven (Matt.22:30). The Bible talks extensively about angels and other heavenly beings. Angel’s existence is yet another controversial topic and some would read my story and think I may have lost my mind. There are many names for angels such as Cherubs, heavenly host, living creatures, spirits just to name a few.

Are all angels good angels or can there be evil angels as well? The Bible says that angels are given the choice to do good or evil. It also says that Satan was in the beginning a good angel but that he made some not so good choices therefore he was named an evil spirit. They are described as having four heads and four wings. I think if I saw a being like that I would probably be a little skeptical. I believe angels come in all shapes and sizes, that they are not all glowing white and that they don’t all have four wings. You just never know when an angel has touched your life. It could be a person you meet on the street corner who may just smile, but by smiling that person may have turned what seemed to be a rotten day into something positive. It could be a stranger that stopped to help you change a flat tire. Perhaps it could be the little dog that you rescued form the SPCA who has brought joy to your home. Who really has the answer to all these questions?
