Bel Canto Sing in Amherst
May 2, 2010

The venue was quite an impressive pile from the outside , and had the organist's name on a brass plaque in front. The space itself was pretty astounding and had absolutely wonderful acoustics. I got a couple of shots as the choir warmed up and as John Ball introduced Anne Sessa (far left), the conductor, who's music director at the church.

Afterward there was a pot luck at Anne Sessa's, on Silver Lake north of Sackville, where the star of the show was this poor pathetic cat. Named Simba. We've been threatening to have Dinah sheared that way if he doesn't stop bitching to go out during dinner. The house -- a B&B -- was quite nice, , and dinner was pretty good too.
