April Sneaks Around the Ridge

Just a couple of pictures to give you a feel for it.  Here are some finches . . . birdes . . . what?  Well, you'll need to click on the image to get the larger one, and then do a sort of Where's Waldo? but they're there. When they found the bird feeder they looked more like this: finches. We have no idea where they came from -- we've never had goldfinches before -- but they're all over the place this year. Dinah took another run at the snow this week; he made it as far as the woodpile dinah, but it didn't take long to figure out where he really wanted to be dinah (notice his tracks). The amazing thing, though, was that when the snow melted a few days later, the crocuses crocuses immediately jumped up, and after a day they looked like this: crocus (well, actually better, but they're very hard to get decent pictures of). I'll try again . . .
