So we decided to meet at Hopewell Cape for a picnic and to visit the
signature tourist attraction of New Brunswick, which none of us except
Sean had ever seen except in pictures. You go through the interpretation
centre and down to a path
along the shore, from which
you can see how you really ought to see the site
and what it looks like
and who else is there
(it was, after all, a holiday weekend), and get an ice cream at the
concession stand,
and
finally, when the tide had gone down far enough,
climb down to
"the ocean
floor," as they keep calling it
and see that it actually is fairly
spectacular
with lots
of strange
shapes in the
eroding
rocks,
,
and lots to talk about
and see
before going back
up to the picnic area
for pie.
