You'll have, in front of you, a longish document which explains what all of this -- or at least some of it -- is about. We've deliberately made this a written document rather than trying to explain it all by lecturing about it, for a lot of different reasons, some of which we explain in that document.
One consequence of writing it all out, though, is that we need to give people time to read it, and we need to give people help in understanding it. We're going to spend most of the morning making sure everybody's had a real chance to understand what this course is about and how it will work.
