Several articles developed from presentations made at the First Canadian Conference on Spirituality and Social Work (Toronto 2002) have been published in the electronic journal Currents: New Scholarship in the Human Services, 1(1).   A second group of papers on spirituality and social work,
co-edited by Dr. John Graham (University of Calgary) and Dr. John Coates (St. Thomas University), based on our 2003 (Halifax) conference were also published in Currents: New Scholarship in the Human Services, 2(2) and 3(1).

Dr. John Graham and Dr. John Coates co-edited special issues of Critical Social Work that focus on spirituality and social work. The first issue, Critical Social Work 6(2) includes papers based upon presentations from the Third Annual Canadian Conference on Spirituality and Social Work: Spiritual Identity and Transformation, held in Winnipeg, Manitoba in June, 2004.   Another dedicated issue of Critical Social Work based primarily upon presentations at the  Fourth Annual Canadian Conference on Spirituality and Social Work: Discerning the Spirit: Reimagined Social Work (London, 2005) also co-edited by Drs. Coates and Graham was published in Critical Social Work 7(1)

Selected presentations from the first four Canadian Conferences on Spirituality and Social Work will form the core of a book being edited by the founding members of the Canadian Society for Spirituality and Social Work - John Coates, John Graham, Barbara Swartzentruber and Brian Ouellette.  To be published by Canadian Scholars Press, the book is due out in 2007.
