Resiliency
My current research examines schools as
Professional Learning Communities and correlates PLC
operations to student achievement to determine if there is any
relationship between these two variables. I am focusing on
three aspects of student achievement as outlined by Linda
Lambert : a) authentic academic assessments, b) positive
involvement, and c) resiliency behaviours. This page captures
some of the literature used to develop the resiliency
framework for our study. To date we have adapted the Unger
& Lienbenberg assessment instrument for resiliency and
piloted our version in two sample schools.
