CHSR
As a student of St. Thomas
University, CHSR-FM belongs to YOU! CHSR is a not-for-profit radio
station representing YOUR voice. It is not driven by commercial
goals, but by the ideas and creativity of its student volunteers.
Face it; most of your life is going to be
spent listening to someone yapping at you. There are very few places
where you get to do the talking, and you decide what is cool. CHSR
is one of those places!
But CHSR is not just about being on the air.
There's a whole station to run! At CHSR you can learn the
fundamental skills required to run a radio station, produce and record
shows, interviews, live performances, and more! You don't have to be
a journalism student, or have any prior broadcasting, radio, or media
knowledge to take part in CHSR-FM. Most volunteers start at the very
beginning, with no previous skills or training. That's why they've
come to CHSR! But for those of you who are journalism
students, this is a great opportunity to apply your education and develop
valuable skills working in your field.
Most importantly, at CHSR-FM you will have
fun. You will gain indispensable experience that will prepare you
for anything your future may hold, and you will have a blast doing it!
So come down to the station (located in the Student Union Building) and
find out how you can become a part of YOUR radio station!
