Prompt #18
April 2, 2008

pulling together a playgoer's guide for The Rover

the process

Our main job this morning will be seeing what we can do do pull the guide together on the basis of the choices people indicated in their emails.  We'll do this with the digital projector and see what happens.  If begun by pasting some of the suggested texts into the basic format, and I'll distribute copies of that.

If we're lucky, we'll have a text close enough to finished that by this afternoon I'll be able to start running off copies.  In that case, I'll need volunteers to fold them, some time between 1:30 and 4:30.

Working on the one-act plays

I'll be setting up ten three or four-person groups, each to work on researching one of those plays.  You'll be in at least three of the groups (you'll need to be in four of them if you didn't either read or see Unidentified Human Remains; you should check your records and let me know).

We'll begin with these groups:

Check, Please
Courtney Cameron
Christopher Campbell
Nick Comeau
Yasmin Glinton
The Philadelphia
Andrea Hynes
Greg Keezer
Hilja Lindala
Jeremy Peck
The Battle of Bull Run
Rebecca Rankin
Scott Saulnier
Sally Smith
Alisha Sweezey

These groups should start working immediately. We'll work on the other seven plays sequentially (the groups will be set up so that you'll work with different people on each). Begin by independently seeing what you can find out about your play, producing a report of what you find between now and Friday.  Save everything you learn as a file called playrep1.htm in your engl2223 folder by class time Friday morning.  A table with links to those reports is linked from course main page.
