Organizing for new explorations, Part II


Categorizing your questions

Working with your list of questions, divide them into the following groups (you might do this by agreeing on numbers for each question):

  1. Questions which could be answered in a sentence or two, maybe a phrase, in a few minutes' search on the Web or in the library
  2. Questions which could be answered in a page or so, in a day or two's reading
  3. Questions which might be addressed in a term paper
  4. Questions which, on reflection, you think probably can't be answered at all
When you're done, one of the group should write the questions which have #1 next to them on the whiteboard. Make sure everyone's name is on your compiled group list, and leave that with me.
