Prompt # 55

Sharing what we've learned about comedies

It appears that a good deal of work was done over the break. We have quite a number of wiki postings to examine, on the following plays (as listed on the Reading some comedies wiki):

There's at least enough reading that we can take the morning's class time -- and a bit more -- to read all of the reports and begin to make some decisions. Thus, I see no reason for us to meet in the classroom this morning (especially since I had my second eye surgery yesterday and probably shouldn't drive).

Here's what I propose to do in the time we'd have spent in EC 124:

I've created a forum, called Questions on Comedy Reports. On that forum, ask at least four useful questions of each author whose reports you read. Your questions should be concrete, specific ones that you believe the writer can answer and which you think would help you in choosing with of the six plays you'd like to read next. Read as many reports, and post as many questions, as you can by the end of this morning's class (10:15). Then, over the next couple of days, continue reading and posting questions. As questions are posted on your reports, answer any you can by replying on the forum. We'll continue this discussion in class on Friday morning.
