In class this morning

As far as I can see, only two people did the assignment for today, which was, you may remember, "Respond to the comments by revising your report (don't simply answer the questions in the space below: make your report one which would have rendered the question or comments unnecessary). Do this by tomorrow night; we'll discuss the whole business in class on Friday."

I've printed out the reports we have, as they stand now; we'll discuss them, adding what we can orally.

For next time

As I said last week, we're going to be turning to All for Love. You need to find a print edition of it. There are, as I've said, lots around in the library. Besides the ten anthologies on our list that include it, some on reserve and others in the stacks, there are also the "California Dryden" (the definitive edition of all of Dryden's works, with lots of notes and information [PR 3410.F56], and one called John Dryden: Four Tragedies [PR3412.B4 1967b]. Find one that offers some information and insight about the play, and summarize what you think are the most important or interesting ideas or information for the rest of us. Post it to your section of the All for Love wiki by next Tuesday night. Bring your edition to class next Wednesday.

And, of course, begin reading the play; that's the next step.
