All course management systems offer some form of discussion board. Most do not offer the kinds of functionality which can make such a board truly interactive. We list elsewhere some of the requirements of such a board; they include previewing, email notification, functional subject lines, and clear and obvious presentation following the structure of the conversation rather than chronology.
